Marco Salfi

Digital Director
Marco spent fourteen years in refineries, terminals and supply chains, where a wrong number costs real money and nobody grades you on the storytelling. He brought that standard to marketing intact: if a dashboard can't change a decision, it isn't insight, it's decoration.
As Digital Director he owns the agency's data and technology layer: measurement, attribution, marketing automation and the analytics that tell clients what is actually working. He is a Technical Sales Advisor at JMP by SAS, helping scientists and engineers apply statistical methods to complex problems, and before that spent fourteen years at ExxonMobil across advanced analytics, logistics optimisation and supply strategy, from a marine terminal in Palermo to a refinery in Texas to advanced analytics for EMEA and Asia-Pacific. He is currently an Executive MBA candidate at POLIMI Graduate School of Management.

Personal Details

Engineer by training, translator by trade: his real job is turning what the data says into something a business can act on by Monday.
Marco has led digital transformation the hard way, not as a slide, but as a cultural change imposed on people who were doing fine without it. At ExxonMobil he taught manufacturing teams across three continents to use analytics tools and to challenge the paradigm they had inherited; he coordinated data scientists and business owners who, left alone, would never have understood one another. He is fluent in partition trees, neural networks and principal component analysis, and equally fluent in the only sentence that matters at the end of the analysis: here is what we should do, and here is what it is worth. He is convinced that the gap between technology and strategy is where most value is lost and he has built a career standing in it.
